Home Theater Design and Construction
Many people today are building theater quality rooms in their homes. Several things have to be taken into consideration when building a theater room. The most important parts will never been seen or heard in a finished room. What you want is a room to be free of any outside noises and vibrations. This is accomplished during the early parts of construction. First we will do all of our prewire for lighting, speakers, and video source.

The next step we will insulate the room using a high density insulation in the walls, ceilings, and (if in a multi-level building) the floors. Next we install separators, they are added to the wall studs or floor and ceiling joist, this is what we attach the first layer of drywall to. Once that is complete we install a rubber barrier to the first layer of drywall then we will add another layer of drywall. What this does is sound proof the room. Once drywall is complete we want to look at a theme for the room. This is where the room starts to get its personality. Whatever the homeowner wants the appearance to be will be accomplished at this point; it will entail stage design, seating design and so forth. When that tedious task is performed then we start the room acoustics, such as sound absorption panels, reflection panels, and bass traps. These all keep the room acoustically correct, when all said and done it is time for the gear to be installed. We have now completed the construction phase of our theater.
